The Sibley 500 ProTech is our premier bell tent, offering a perfect balance of comfort, durability, and versatility for any glamping or camping experience. With a 5-meter (16ft 5in) diameter and 19.6 m² (210 ft²) of floor space, it comfortably accommodates 4 glampers on queen beds or up to 8 campers on sleeping pads.
360° Mesh Wall Protection:
The Sibley 500 ProTech features 360° mesh walls, designed to protect you from traditional camp pests like bugs and critters. These mesh walls zip securely to the groundsheet and canopy, offering maximum ventilation while keeping pests out. The mesh can be rolled up or completely removed when not needed, and the built-in hook-and-loop system keeps them neatly stowed when not in use. This system is also known as a double wall in the bell tent industry, providing extra protection from insects while enjoying the outdoors.
Pro-Grade Zippered Groundsheet:
The ProTech groundsheets are made from thick, thermally welded rip-stop PVC (650 gr/m² or 19.17 oz/yd²), which is waterproof, vapor-impermeable, and resistant to wear. The bathtub-style floor rises 4 inches to keep you dry in wet conditions, and the heavy-duty zipper system allows you to roll up the side walls or remove the entire floor for easy transport, storage, or cleaning. The tailgate-style hooks near the door offer easy cleaning and help prevent tripping.
Pro Integrated Mesh Door:
A sewn-in no-see-um mesh door complements the traditional canvas door, with loops on either side to keep it neatly tied back when not in use. This provides a perfect balance of ventilation and privacy.
Pro-Grade Guy Lines and Tensioners:
The Pro series features 5mm thick, UV-resistant nylon guy lines with pre-attached plastic tensioners, making setup quick and easy. These guy lines are durable, allowing for easy adjustments and long-lasting performance.
Pro Stakes and Pegs:
The Pro stakes are designed for high-wind conditions and tough ground. Made from nickel-plated steel, these 24cm (9.5 inches) angled, serrated stakes are ideal for pounding into frozen or rocky terrain. They feature a T-shaped hook to keep guy lines secure, even in windy conditions. The groundsheet pegs are 50% thicker than standard pegs and feature a hook-shaped top to keep the floor firmly in place.
Pro Spring-Loaded Poles:
The Pro poles are significantly more robust than those of the Standard or Deluxe series. With a 32mm (1.25 inches) center pole and 23mm (0.91 inches) door poles, these poles are spring-loaded for easy assembly. The center pole also features a welded lanyard ring, perfect for hanging an inner tent or chandelier.
Pro Canvas for 4-Season Comfort:
The Pro canvas (320 gr/m² or 9.44 oz/yd²) offers excellent durability, breathability, waterproofing, and UV resistance. Designed for all-season use, the canvas naturally resists water, while the tight weave prevents rain from penetrating, and the steep canopy angle allows water to run off. The canvas is also breathable, reducing condensation inside.
Sustainable Cotton Canvas:
Made from 100% sustainable cotton, our canvas is both renewable and biodegradable, with a soft, natural beige hue that creates a warm, inviting atmosphere. It provides natural waterproofing through the cotton fibers that swell when damp, blocking moisture while allowing internal humidity to escape.
Windows, Vents, and Ventilation:
Each Sibley 500 comes equipped with 4 no-see-um mesh-covered half-moon windows and 4 mesh peak vents, ensuring excellent airflow and ventilation. Each window has a zip-up cover to adjust privacy and airflow levels, and the windows and vents can be neatly secured with loop fasteners.
Stove Compatibility:
The Sibley 500 ProTech is compatible with wood-burning stoves, allowing for year-round camping. The modular stove jacks (sold separately) can be installed easily, allowing for customized placement depending on your stove type and tent layout.
