Flex Q2 Accessory Sizes: Stake Options
Stakes: 80 cm (31.5 in) vs. 110 cm (43 in)
Stakes are essential for anchoring any flex tent securely. For the best stability, it’s important to use stakes that penetrate as deeply as possible. Two lengths are available: 80 cm (31.5 in) and 110 cm (43 in).
Flex tents act as large sails, requiring proper anchoring and tensioning for safe use. Tension is maintained with tie-downs, which need to be attached to a reliable anchor point, typically a stake.
Choosing the Right Stake Length
- 80 cm (31.5 in): Ideal for very hard ground and smaller tents up to 8.5 x 10 m (28 x 33 ft). Suitable for compact setups where deeper anchoring isn’t necessary.
- 110 cm (43 in): Recommended for soft or sandy ground, larger tents, and areas prone to windy conditions. Soft ground includes grassy and dirt surfaces. Wet ground, such as after rain, may also require longer stakes for added security.
Note: Drive stakes into the ground so that no more than 5 inches remain above ground. Use a sledgehammer (not included) for best results.
