The Sibley 400 ProTech is an excellent choice for 2 glampers on a full mattress or up to 4 campers on sleeping pads. It combines luxury with heavy-duty functionality to meet the needs of those requiring a rugged and reliable shelter for multiday festivals, glamping, tent rentals, basecamps, bushcraft shelters, survival, and extreme weather conditions across all seasons.
CanvasCamp’s response to customer requests for a durable, high-performance tent led to the development of the ProTech Series, which builds on the popular Sibley Ultimate Series. The floor is thicker, the canvas more durable, and the poles stronger. Even the screen material, guy ropes, and stakes have been upgraded. The zip-in/out mesh sidewall and sewn-in mesh door provide maximum ventilation and bug protection, making the ProTech Series the most popular and highest-quality Sibley bell tent to date.
360° Mesh Wall: ProTechtion
With the ProTech series, you get complete protection from pests. The 360° mesh wall zips onto the groundsheet and canopy, offering a full 360° of mesh coverage for optimal ventilation while keeping bugs at bay. The mesh is secured with Velcro for a tight seal, and when not in use, it can be rolled up and stored neatly inside the canopy, or zipped out completely for convenience.
Pro Zipper Groundsheet
The ProTech groundsheet attaches to the tent with a heavy-duty zipper and is made from thick, thermally welded, rip-stop PVC (650 gr/m² or 19.17 oz/yd²). Completely waterproof and vapor-impenetrable, the bathtub-style floor rises 4 inches to keep you dry, even in standing water. The floor can be unzipped to roll up the side walls, or completely removed for storage, cleaning, or to enjoy the grass or sand beneath your feet. A tailgate-style system lets you drop the bathtub wall near the door and secure it flat, making cleaning easier and preventing tripping hazards.
Pro Integrated Mesh Door
In addition to the traditional canvas door, the Sibley 400 ProTech comes with a sewn-in no-see-um mesh door, designed for added protection and ventilation. Loops on either side allow you to easily tie back the door when not in use.
Pro Guy Lines and Tensioners
Setting up the ProTech tent is made easy with pre-attached guy lines that thread through Pro tensioners. The 5mm thick nylon guy lines have been treated with UV resistance and come with plastic tensioners to prolong their lifespan. These strong guy lines make setup and adjustment simple.
Pro Stakes and Pegs
The Pro stakes are designed for high winds or rocky ground. Made from nickel-plated steel, these stakes are angled and serrated for easy penetration into tough ground. The T-shaped hooks prevent guy lines from slipping off, even in extreme conditions. The groundsheet pegs are 50% thicker than standard pegs, providing added stability.
Pro Spring Loaded Poles
The ProTech series features stronger poles than standard models. The door poles are 23mm (0.91 inches), while the center pole is 32mm (1.25 inches), made of powder-coated steel for enhanced strength. Spring-loaded internal wires guide the pole sections for quick assembly, and the center pole includes a welded lanyard ring for hanging accessories such as an inner tent or chandelier.
Pro Canvas
The Pro canvas (320 gr/m² or 9.44 oz/yd²) used in the Sibley 400 ProTech is designed for long-term use across all seasons. It provides an ideal balance of breathability, waterproofing, and durability. The canvas features Pro treatment for additional waterproofing, mold resistance, and UV protection, making it perfect for a wide range of climates.
Cotton canvas naturally resists water; when the cotton fibers swell due to moisture, they block rain from penetrating the tent. Moisture trapped inside is able to escape through the fabric, reducing internal humidity and preventing condensation.
100% Cotton Canvas
CanvasCamp uses 100% cotton canvas that is sustainable, renewable, and biodegradable. Cotton is one of the most durable and eco-friendly fabrics, and our canvas is certified with the Seal of Cotton®. The natural beige color glows both inside and outside the tent, creating a cozy atmosphere.
Windows and Vents
The Sibley 400 ProTech comes equipped with 4 half-moon windows and 3 vents, all covered in no-see-um mesh to ensure ventilation while keeping bugs out. The windows have zip-up covers, allowing you to customize your ventilation and privacy. Each window is equipped with loop fasteners to neatly hold the covers when unzipped.
Stove Compatibility
All CanvasCamp tents are designed for wood-burning stoves. To ensure proper placement and efficiency, CanvasCamp offers modular stove jacks (sold separately) that can be easily installed in any cotton canvas bell tent. These jacks provide flexibility to customize stove placement based on your stove size, tent size, and heating needs.
